Time Under Tension "Muscles and Tendons"

Time under tension a few years ago was the buzz word in rehab! It is still commonly used in physio clinics and departments today. But what does it really mean, and what does it mean for you and your clinical practice?

Time under tension is the tempo of the exercise. However, does it really matter how long your patient holds the concentric , eccentric or isometric contraction time for?

Is super slow training for tendons really as important as some studies would lead you to believe or it just another fad and trendy concept to confuse us and our patients?

In this short video I spend some time explaining in simple to understand language what the best training tempo is for muscle and tendon development for your patients.

Please comment below and share and discuss this with your colleagues. Its discussion and reflection that leads to clinical growth!
